Alpha-DISC Protection Update Software Guide
The below file is a software update file for authentic buyers of Alpha-DISC applied discs.
Unless a user has agreed with EULA (End User License Agreement) in the disc,
the update will not work. In that case, please do not download and install it.
The following items have been updated:
1. Added more allowable DVD playback software to the list.
2. Updated a potential security issue.
3. Resolved the issue that caused delay in recording speed with some CD/DVD drives.
We strongly encourage you to run this update to address a potential security issue.
**Please confirm the digital certification before running the update if downloaded from a non-Settec page.
Instructions to verify the digital certification
1. Locate downloaded AlphaDiscUpdate.exe file.
2. Right-click and select Properties.
3. Select Digital Certification Tab.
4. Confirm that the distributor name is 'Settec, Inc.'
To complete the update, Windows reboot is necessary after installation.
